Friday’s & today’s sell signals in SPY, QQQ, & IWM either play out for considerable more downside in the coming days to weeks or they will go down as some of the most distinct whipsaw signals of the year.
/ES has moved back above its 60m uptrend line with SPY starting to creep back above its respective TL although not yet on a solid 60-minute closing basis. Ditto for /NQ trying to recover back above the 12676 level. As such, the final 1 1/2 hours of trading today should be very telling as the bears want to see a rejection here on those backtests of resistance on the major indexes while the bulls want to see a strong rally into the close to end the day back well above those key levels.
