I also looked into other commodities as I got inspired. Any thoughts on WOOD? I may have already missed the optimum entry but perhaps still worth it...

@rsotc THANK YOU. This video is great. I want to rotate some of my QQQ short gains into commodities. My big doubt is this: we are pretty far up a bearish trend bounce and many of the commodities you reviewed are coming off a recent leg up. As many probably do, I think the next major wave of market selling is coming soon: should we allow the next leg down to gain steam before we pull the trigger on the commodities under the hope that the commodities will get pulled down along with the major indexes?

Fyi, Barron's discussed commodities in this past week's paper. Fwiw, one of the commodities fund managers they profiled, Renee Haugerud, commented that while she likes gold in the short term as a defensive play, long term she thinks coffee, cocoa, corn and copper look more promising. She says corn is currently below the cost of production, which she feels makes it an attractive play. And with copper, the demand is starting to outstrip supply.

Thanks for the update on commodities. I wanted to add that sugar and corn are both used in ethanol production, which is a substitute for oil. If oil recovers, there will be upward pressure on both of those commodities from the energy demand side. Corn took less of a hit than sugar when oil prices tanked, but both have reacted to the downside. I'm sure there are many other market forces, but that's my observation that seems to be in line with your TA.
