Feel like thats the last Golden Bazooka the Fed has in its arsenal. Millions of people out of jobs and stocks are at 2018 levels (when economy was booming) which fundamentally makes no sense at all. I dont see how companies can justify their price levels with earnings coming up. Companies like the one I work for already coming up with plans on which positions will not be re-hired unfortunately. Forget unemployment....how about down right job eliminations? Have half my account in cash and unfortunately waiting for the "system to break or get exposed".

Agreed. Everything is contrarian right now. Steep cuts in oil production was just announced and the market didn’t really care. 96% drop in airport traffic since a year ago! 96%!!! Wish I had to fly somewhere! I agree with Randy there isn’t enough money in God’s creation to stop the second leg down after this bear rally is done. We’re headed for a Worldwide monetary reset someday but not until after this next off the charts decline. I just went from neutral to total shorts. This little bull bubble is about to burst!

I think this is what fueled the explosive bull market, Big Cheeto pumping it. This bear market rally is being propped up. The technicals are only getting more bearish. The long term fundamentals are really bad. The higher this gets artificially propped up the harder its going to fall. This doesn't help the squeeze I'm feeling.

Closed SPXS on stop.
Closed out that SGG initially looked hopeful as INTC, and the like were dropping but then the U-turn. Oil MBS and Putin kiss and make up, but storage will be full by the end of May unless US Shale shuts in production. Fed buying JNK now big pop. I agree it doesn't seem like you can bet against Trump. He will spend his way out of this debacle and ultimately get reelected with the taxpayers' money or War Bond money as Kudlow is now talking about. Other peoples money just a real-estate developer at heart. Fed Chairman talking down inflation as in 2008 everyone worried about it and didn't happen ( functional China supply chain back then). Waiting for the pull. back to go long.

Grinch in Hong Kong. I need some sleep.

I went to neutral yesterday anticipating a possible contrarian response to all the news this morning ... Oil summit started 15 minutes ago in Vienna and it sounds that odds are there may not be production reductions on oil. This could finally spark the shorts to take back the market. Could go either way. We’ll see. Good Luck

I do not understand the dynamics between the fed and the markets but they are using the 2T to buy bonds in small caps. Wouldn't this only put a strain on growth as now they have to pay off the loans rather then invest in their business? There are also so many strings attached for example they can't lay off workers or be a start up company. With 10M unemployed a lot of companies are already disqualified.

Yes, the market is clearly being artificially propped up. I've heard Randy say that the market is going to go where it wants to go; but they could keep doing this until corona situation is resolved. I think Russia & Saudi Arabia are coordinating their actions with Trump. Fibonacci.....confluence of resistance levels.....you're right, it's all nothing compared to trillions of dollars flying around on a regular basis.

So true. Whenever it looks like the markets will plunge, Big Cheeto steps in. He's been doing it for the last couple of years. He did it during the trade wars. This is so wrong, and in the long term, will do great damage to the economy. The question now is, why even bother trying to short the market, if Big Cheeto is going to step in every time? It's pointless to short. Sure, the shorts worked when the event was unexpected, and before Big Cheeto had time to react.

So true. Whenever it looks like the markets will plunge, Big Cheeto steps in. He’s been doing it for the last couple of years. He did it during the trade wars. This is so wrong, and in the long term, will do great damage to the economy. The question now is, why even bother trying to short the market, if Big Cheeto is going to step in every time? It’s pointless to short. Sure, the shorts worked when the event was unexpected, and before Big Cheeto had time to react.

Yup. I just read about it. I'm totally out of my shorts. How can you fairly participate in the markets, when you have the Fed juicing it at every turn? This is so wrong. This can't be good for the economy, in the long term. What about inflation?

Yesterday when I mentioned that the Fed will pump the market until the end of time, I was accused for being political. Here's an opinion ... in this day and age technical analysis is nothing compared to the ability of the invisible hand to get things done. At 8:30am the unemployment numbers came in worse than expected ... for the 3rd week in a row. Going down?! ... yeah, sure ... the same time the Fed announced that they will pump 2+ trillion dollars in the market. Last Thursday? Same day, same time, the unemployment rate came in twice worse than expected. At the same moment, Trump tweeted about oil. In both situations the market skyrocketed after terrible news. I wish I saw the pattern earlier ...

50% fib retracement in play. If it blows through that, Randy might have to rethink everything.
