Gemini’s response was cut off due to character limit on the comment, but you can search his storied past regarding his shady business dealings.

I’d put him a notch or 2 above Madoff. Those kind of execs tend to sock the $ away when their scheme is printing $, moving it to hidden or hard assets like art, gold, a big Mansion in FL (nearly impossible to touch from criminal or civil actions/suits), etc.. If MSTR hits $15 he’ll have definitely lost a lot of net worth, but he’d be better off than a lot of Bitcoin/MSTR-hard core holders that were left holding the (empty) bag. Again, a conditional (if-this-than-that) thing so let’s see Bitcoin continues lower.

As per Gemini: While Michael Saylor is widely recognized today for transforming MicroStrategy into a massive corporate Bitcoin treasury, his career has faced several high-profile controversies, legal challenges, and financial storms.
The primary historical and financial negatives associated with Saylor include:

The Dot-Com Bubble Collapse & SEC Settlement (2000)

The most severe financial blow to Saylor’s early career occurred during the dot-com crash. In March 2000, MicroStrategy announced it would restate its financial results for the previous two years due to aggressive accounting practices that improperly recognized revenue.

The Fallout: The company’s stock plummeted by over 60% in a single day, wiping out billions in market value and cutting Saylor’s personal net worth significantly.

SEC Sanctions: In December 2000, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged Saylor and other executives with fraud for materially misstating financial results. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Saylor reached a settlement with the SEC, paying $350,000 in personal penalties and $8.3 million in disgorgement.

Record-Breaking D.C. Tax Fraud Settlement (2024)

In June 2024, Saylor resolved a major personal legal battle by agreeing to a $40 million settlement with the District of Columbia.

The Allegations: The D.C. Attorney General brought a lawsuit alleging that Saylor had engaged in income tax evasion by claiming to live in low-tax jurisdictions like Florida and Virginia while actually residing in a luxury penthouse in Washington, D.C., for more than a decade.

Significance: At the time, it was recognized as the largest income tax fraud recovery i

Gemini response to the approval of “perps:

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) decision to approve the first regulated Bitcoin perpetual futures (“perps”) on U.S. exchanges represents a massive market structure shift that is actively rewriting the competitive landscape for financial exchanges. While this structural disruption introduces new long-term competitive threats to legacy equity and traditional derivatives venues, the initial stock market reaction actually favored native digital asset platforms, with Coinbase (COIN) and Robinhood (HOOD) shares jumping 4% and 11% respectively following the historic announcement. This regulatory green light breaks open a product class that generated $61.7 trillion in global volume in 2025, historically trapped on offshore or decentralized platforms.
Thx for sharing that. Sounds like the cause of the recent big slide. On a related note, whatever the reason(s) for Bitcoin falling, assuming it continues much lower, is basically moot in regard to my fundamental reasoning that MSTR has a decent chance of hitting my very aggressive price targets (basically, an implosion or near wipe-out of the stock): Selling will beget more selling & start a vicious cycle of unwinding their leveraged strategy of accumulation & holding (or possibly going foward, sellling) of Bitcoin.

Assuming my call on the unwinding & implosion of MSTR plays out, that will most likely spill over into the stock market for the reasons I cited in the video I just posted today. A big MAYBE or IF, but something worth monitoring (and/or profiting from), IMO.
