Perhaps more importantly than AAPL for the overall structure and sentiment in the QQQ are the new all time highs in AMZN and GOOGL today. MSFT and NVDA also look to be breaking out of bullish consolidations. And with QQQ making another perfect bounce off its 50dayMA this week, there is no reason to be bearish on a trend basis.

Give Randy a little leeway.
It's impossible to follow every stock, commodity, and etf, every day.
But the obvious dip buying hasn't gone away in 5 1/2 months.
Until there's some follow through on the selling, it's a losing gamble to short.

Ouch, you did not only miss AAPL (the obvious, as you say), but you made a strong case to short the Qs right before the Qs exploded (apparently because of AAPL). So, it’s worse than missing out on something (the obvious AAPL move), but we got hurt by following your analysis to short the Qs – which wouldn’t have been the analysis had you not missed the obvious AAPL. Ugh.
